R36Max Handheld Retro Game Console

I didnt expect to love this as much as I do but is is total nostalgia for me and it works perfectly, most of the time. I have been using this a lot since I got it and I have only had one issue with it that was easy to fix anyway. It has heaps of retro games that I actually recognise built in and all of the games I have played are just like the originals. It has so many different console games and handheld games from my youth and the game I love most on this has got to be Mario Kart 64. I have seen units like this in the past and havent been impressed so I was so shocked at how awesome this is when I got it. There are some cool games on here that younger generations have probably never have heard of and they would get a kick out of playing with this too. There are websites you can download extra games from and they are easy to install on the device with lotsbof online instructional videos for beginners. Totally worth the money and it brought back heaps of memories for me.

I bought this for my husband thinking it would be a nice nostalgic trip down memory lane. What I got instead was a beautiful, glowing reason he now ignores me at dinner. The 4.0" IPS screen is genuinely crisp, the 40,000 games are impressively comprehensive (though I suspect 35,000 of them are variations of the same NES title), and the battery life is solid, which is the problem. He can run away from me longer.The build quality feels premium, the transparent blue casing looks sleek, and the controls are responsive. It's genuinely a solid device. But here's the thing: I've become a gaming widow. At restaurants, in bed, during conversations about our feelings, the R36MAX is there, quietly blinking between us like a tiny, pocket-sized third wheel.Is it worth it? Sure, if you want your significant other to have an amazing retro gaming experience. Is it worth not seeing them for extended periods? That depends on how much you enjoy your own hobbies, I suppose.Pros: Great screen, tons of games, excellent build, long battery lifeCons: Now I know what I look like when I'm being ignoredDeducting one star purely out of spite and loneliness. Don't make my mistake, buy yourself one too.

great product with good price

The screen is pretty decent. Good enough for for classic Game Boy and arcade titles. The RK3326 chip handles most 8-bit and 16-bit games well, and is good enough for most PS1 games.I have yet to encounter any real issues so far, then again, there are over 40k games to test out...You get about 4–6 hours of playtime, which is okay. The pre-loaded games on the SDcard is convenient, but the quality of the included Micro SD card is poor and I would recommend backing it up and using a better card.In fact, my device was DOA because of this issue. It would turn on but nothing loaded because of the cheap corrupt SD card. All is fine now as support were really helpful.The analog sticks are basic, which is a limitation for N64 or Dreamcast games, and the overall build quality is just functional, still, it's a beast of a time killer. Sure some things in games have been altered, like titles or even the music being sped up, but you will find a lot of the classics here.Personally, I am not a fan of the Y2K transparent plastic look, but overall, there's a lot of entertainment here for the price.4/5

This Handheld Game Console in transparent blue design looks nice. It takes me back to the pre internet era. It’s loaded with 40,000+ classic games, and the 256GB SD card gives plenty of room for favourites. The 4-inch IPS HD screen is bright and clear, making it easy on the eyes even after hours of play.The battery life is ok with few hours of smooth gaming on one charge. The buttons feel solid, and the build quality is great for such a compact device. It’s perfect for travel, or just relaxing at home when you want that retro gaming fix.
